Story & Image Show at Emerge in Coeur d’Alene

Illustration Show (2)

I am so excited to be a part of the Story & Image illustration show at Emerge! Twelve regional artists each illustrated a portion of the short story “Witch Lake” by local author Sharma Shields. In my portion, a thirteen year old girl walks backward through the doorway into her father’s cabin, startling the two bootleggers he is drinking with. The illustration was done in India ink on Bristol with a bit of watercolor.

Some of the originals of my comics will also be on display, and my mini comic books will be available along with some freebie strips. I am just over the moon about being involved in this show alongside such a talented group of artists, and it was awesome to get to illustrate a bit of such a vivid story by a stellar author.

Article by the Spokesman-Review about the upcoming show.

I am still fangirling over this experience. Here are some photos of the opening and closing receptions.
